As in: My spine waggles in resistance,
to turtlenecks, wool,
or anything itchy,
causing hairs to stand up
on the back of my neck.
in search of cozy.

As in: If I buy a blanket, it disappears
slinking away down our stairs
and encircles
the figure of my son
becoming one with the blanket
like Linus, in wintertime
he seeks cozy.

As in: Last night,
my icicle feet explore blindly
under layers of covers
until,
claiming the warmth that radiates from
his body,
they find cozy.⠀⠀
